B&A Quilting was conceptualised by a young Bashir Ahmed, a determined South Asian entrepreneur who laid the foundations of the company with just one quilting machine in the heart of the textile industry in Lancashire. Established in 1971 as a commercial quilter, B&A Quilting soon became a key supplier to garment and bed manufacturers within the north of England operating from a Grade II listed building known as Oxford Mills in Ashton Under Lyne.
As the company grew in its commercial success, B&A Quilting established an extensive client base working with Burberry, Paul Smith, Barbour, Dunlopillo, Jysk and IKEA.
To meet the expectations of their clients and to ensure a high quality of service, B&A Quilting expanded the business in 2005 establishing its sister company Bedouin (PVT) Ltd in Pakistan. With a commitment to European service levels allied to overseas cost benefits. A vertical production facility was established on a 14 acre brownfield site.
B&A aspired to provide a broader product range of finished consumer goods, venturing on to manufacture high-quality mattresses renowned for combining the latest advancements in foam and spring technology. Taking pride in the quality of their products B&A Quilting are committed to listening to the needs of their client base and ensuring those goals are achieved.
